Post Configurator quits upon "Connect"
Mac OS 10.5.3; Firmware 1.7; Configuration Software 1.5.

Clicking 'Connect to BS3X' causes the software to quit immediately -- obviously, rendering it unusable.

Has anyone else encountered this?

never seen that before.

how did you install the soft ? you must create a directory and extract all files in the dmg in the directory you created.

Also, you should update the firmware to 1.8 to perfectly match the configuration software v1.5

Firmware Upgrader does the exact same thing upon clicking 'Get From 3x'.

Not sure what 'Creating a directory' means; I did copy the disk image's contents into a folder and launched from there, but to no avail.

Couldn't find compatibility specs anywhere. Is it Leopard-ready?

Any ideas would be welcome at this juncture.

we have done tests on leopard 10.5.0 and it was just working fine.
some questions ...

did you update fw to 1.8 ?
did you try on another computer ?
did you try to change usb port ?
does the soft quit or is it minimized ?
did you try to reinstall the soft ?

Jerome --

A second, nearly identical Mac Pro, runs both programs (configurator, firmware updater) perfectly.

Perhaps it's some sort of MIDI driver or launch item conflict, since I tried reinstalling and switching USB ports numerous times. Very odd.

The programs definitely shut down, as opposed to being minimized.
Any ideas as to what might be causing such conflict or how to figure it out?

>> this means the issue seems to come from your mac, not from your bs3x.

did you try to reinstall the soft ?
also, I dont know if possible on mac, dont you have a way to "uninstall the attached bs3x" so the mac can try to reinstall it upon a new connection ?
